University of Waterloo

The University of Waterloo started as Waterloo College Associate Faculties in 1956. It became an independent university in 1959. This came under the University of Waterloo Act. It offers a wide range of courses under six faculties, namely, Arts, Engineering, Environment, Health, Mathematics, and Science. The campus of the university stretches over 1000+ acres with 100+ buildings. Apart from this, the university also has 3 satellite campuses.

University of Waterloo stands apart because it blends 4 things very well. These are strong teaching, real-world learning, an entrepreneurial mindset, and research that creates real impact. This mix makes Waterloo one of the most connected schools in the world. Co-op is Waterloo's biggest strength. 77% of students take part in it. Students switch between classes and paid work. Each stretch runs for four months. Most co-op students graduate with up to two years of paid work experience. No other Canadian school runs a co-op program to this level.

The University of Waterloo provides a high-quality research framework that backs its reputation. It is also home to a Nobel Laureate and other global-level awards and recognitions. It offers full-time on-campus programs as well as 100% online programs. The university is recognized by the top accreditation and approval bodies in Canada and across the world.
