Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management

The PhD program in Business Management at Xavier's School of Management trains full-time students for research and teaching roles in and outside academia. Doctoral scholars are encouraged to become creative thinkers and knowledge creators in their fields. They gain deep expertise in their chosen research areas, explore different topics, build professional skills, and take part in academic and other activities.

Along with PhD programs in Business Management, an Online DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) is a great choice for working professionals who want to grow in business and management. Unlike a full-time PhD, the Online DBA is flexible and can be done without leaving your job. It focuses on real business problems, leadership skills, and practical research. You can complete it online in just 3 years. This program is perfect for professionals who want higher positions, global exposure, and career growth. An Online DBA makes you a skilled problem solver and future leader in business. 

Candidates will first be shortlisted based on their academic records and Statement of Purpose (SoP). The shortlisted ones must take the XIM Research Aptitude Test (XRAT), then give a research presentation, and attend a personal interview. Full details will be shared later.

Those who have UGC NET-JRF (Category 1: JRF) do not need to take XRAT, but they must still give the presentation and interview.

Candidates with UGC NET (Category 2 or 3) can take XRAT to qualify for a university scholarship. Classes for selected students will begin in June/July 2026. You can still apply for an Online DBA if you do not want to take an entrance exam.
