Commerce Courses After Graduation (PG Degree Courses)

When it comes to taking up further education in commerce after graduation, students are often in a dilemma since there are comparatively limited options available at the Master’s level of education in commerce as compared to the Bachelor’s level. So, although the degree courses available in commerce after graduation are limited, there is still good scope to explore in terms of the various specialisation areas available for students to explore.

The most useful course to take up in commerce after graduation in India is unanimously an M.Com, or a Masters of Commerce. This is a purely commerce degree course at the PG level and there are many areas of specialisations available in an M.Com depending upon the student’s area of interest. Another area to explore would be business administration or management (especially in finance or commercial domains).

The question that arises is why take up a commerce course after graduation if a good career scope is available right after completing a Bachelor’s degree. The biggest advantage that a PG level degree in commerce confers to you is that it broadens the scope of the job domain for you as well as boosts your career and job position. You can explore from entry level to initial level job positions after completing a UG degree (even with experience), but having completed a Masters in the field of commerce will help you to explore even mid to top level job positions, and additionally it will also elevate your salary package considerably.
