M.Tech Application Form through GATE Score

Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam for students interested in obtaining a master’s degree in engineering. M.Tech, or Master of Technology, is a postgraduate degree that students obtain after earning their bachelor’s degree.

Aspirants must complete the GATE inspection registration form online. The test will be administered electronically, and the results will be announced in the same manner. Following the outcome, aspirants must apply to engineer colleges separately based on their grades and the cut-off lists. GATE is a prerequisite for pursuing an M.Tech degree.

M.Tech Application Form for NITs and IIITs

Candidates applying to IIITs and NITs must perform well on the GATE test. GATE is a computer-based entrance examination administered by NITs and IIITs. There is no need to submit specific applications to all NITs or IIITs.

After passing the GATE, a cut-off is established, and the student selects a college based on their performance. These institutes perform a standardized counseling procedure after the completion of all processes, and then admission is made.

M.Tech Application Form for IITs

Students must apply independently to each IIT via their website. On the IIT website, a portal called COAT – Common Offer Acceptance Portal is available for students to apply and verify which colleges have approved their entry. Admissions will be declared after the GATE test results, based on the cut-off lists. To apply to any IIT institution, the student must pass the GATE test.

M.Tech admission without GATE

If the candidate hasn’t applied for the GATE examination or if it is unable to clear the exam then there is no need to panic as we have criteria of getting direct admission in the program through some of the private universities that take direct admission or by their own entrance examination. There are several State-level entrance exams as well. So, apart from GATE, you have the option to pass state-level entrances or university-level entrance exams as well.

Distance M.Tech- Valid or Not?

Distance M.Tech is not a valid course as the UGC and AICTE do not approve of it. M.Tech includes a throrough learning of both theory and practical. Practical learning is not possible in a distance learning mode which is why distance M.Tech or corresspondence M.Tech course are not valid courses.

However, UGC and AICTE have recognised the need of people who wish to continue higher education but are unable to attend regular classes due to financial difficulties or work commitments. Recognising the needs of such aspiring professionals, UGC and AICTE has come up with M.Tech for Working Professionals courses that are conducted part-time and delivered in a blended mode of offline and online learning.

The classes are conducted in evenings, weekends, and on public holidays. Most of the classes are delivered online through an LMS while others are conducted offline on the college campus. There is complete flexibility so that working professionals can easily manage both their jobs and studies. The total fee of the course is within the range of INR 1-3 lakhs. The curriculum and duration of the course is the same as a regular M.Tech program.

A part-time M.Tech course is highly beneficial not only because it is affordable but also because it allows you to do a job along with your studies. The advantage here is that you are gaining knowledge as well as experience at the same time. Engineering is a field where experience is highly valuable. This is why getting better and higher-paying jobs in the industry is quite easy after completing an M.Tech part time program

However,it is very important to choose the right university to pursue this part-time M.Tech program. There are a lot of universities that offer fake degrees in the name of Distance M.Tech. You must be aware of this scam and only choose UGC/AICTE approved universities for pursuing an M.Tech for working professionals course.
