Admission Procedure Of Distance B.Sc in IGNOU (2025)

- Students can access the website of the university or visit the nearby IGNOU regional approved centres for Admission.
- The prospectus must be purchased and the second form contained in the prospectus must be fulfilled.
- The following papers must be attached to students and sent to the IGNOU Regional Head.
- Once the application has been satisfactory with the requisite information, in a few weeks the students shall be confirmed by the IGNOU for admission, specifying their course specifics.
Documents that must be attached with the offline form and during online admission these documents need to be uploaded:
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate.
- Photocopy of 10, 10+2 mark sheet.
- Photocopy of Aadhar Card/Passport/PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Electricity or Phone Bill/ or any Bank account statement if none of the above is available in order to submit residential proof.

IGNOU Distance B.Sc Fees Structure 2025
The total fee of a Distance Bachelor of Science from IGNOU is Rs. 12,600 (exclusive of examination fees) which is affordable as compared to other colleges and universities offering the same course. There is also an option of submitting the fees of the course year wise. The yearly fee is Rs. 4,200. The first year fee would be Rs. 4,400, The extra Rs. 200 is the registration fee.

IGNOU Distance B.Sc Syllabus
The University offers Bachelor’s Degree Programme leading to Bachelor’s in Science (B.Sc). The University follows the credit system. One credit is equal to 30 hours of the learner’s study time. To earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, a learner has to earn 96 credits in a minimum of three years with 32 credits per year. For earning 96 credits, a student has to opt for courses from three categories.

IGNOU Distance B.Sc Nursing
IGNOU is also providing the B.Sc nursing to those candidates who have completed a diploma in nursing and are already working as nurses in any organization. Now they want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree for a better future but without affecting their current jobs. The duration of the IGNOU B.Sc Nursing course is 3 years and can be completed in 5 years. In-service Nurses i.e. Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).
