The part-time B.Tech course is actually a B.Tech lateral entry admission course. In this lateral entry admission, the eligible students are given admission directly into the 2nd year of the B.Tech program. The students do not have to study the first year of the course. So, the total duration of the course is reduced to 3-3.5 years. The part-time allows students to complete the course at their own pace within this time period.
