Yes, you may apply for the PhD program after earning the B.Tech degree. According to the court's most recent notice, students can apply straight for the PhD program after completing the 4 years of the bachelor's degree. You can register in a Ph.D. or DBA program, both of which are doctorate-level programs, and once completed, the "Dr." title is added to your name. A Ph.D. program is comparable to a DB program in many ways, and the student's decision between the two is entirely up to them. Here are some things to take in mind before enrolling in the PhD program:

  • Applicants must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in a relevant domain from a valid and recognized university.
  • A minimum of 55% of aggregate marks must be scored in the graduation(for Ph.D.).
  • The applicants are required to qualify for GATE, NET, or other entrance exams and interviews (for Ph.D.).
  • Students with a bachelor's degree can also apply for the PhD program if they have relevant work experience.

However, there is another alternative for working-class students: an online DBA program. An online DBA program is developed specifically for working professionals and has the same value and reputation as a traditional Ph.D. program. Students should choose this program since it may be finished in only 3 years, as opposed to the 4 to 7 years necessary for a Ph.D. The international universities provide online DBA that is globally recognized, as Indian colleges do not provide an online DBA program.

In most instances, proceeding to PhD straight from a B.Tech is generally not possible, since you would normally complete a Master's degree (M.Tech or M.S.). The master's degree is important because it usually provides greater exposure to a more substantial level of independent research and more theoretical foundation. However, some universities offer an integrated PhD program. For instance, if you complete a B.Tech, you can apply for direct PhD entry in some fields (like engineering and technology) if you meet their academic requirements as we as demonstrate you're research potential. You should consult their specific program for more details.
