It is not possible to do PhD in Online mode from any Indian higher education institution. University Grants Commission(UGC) does not allow Indian universities to offer Online PhD. However, many universities in India offer Part-Time PhD programs but that is also not completely online. Part-time PhD is offered in blended mode.
