What is the CAT 2024 score normalization process?

There will be three exams that will be held under CAT 2024. Each of the three exams covers different sections:-

Section 1- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Section 2- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

Section 3- Quantitative Ability

Depending on factors such as the location of the candidate from where the exam was given, the scale differences between sections, the difficulties of each section, distribution of marks between the three sections; marks are either added or subtracted from the raw scores through the normalisation process. This process makes a fair and even field for candidates across the country. The final scaled score is used for percentile that decides the shortlisting of candidates.
