About Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Online
In 1966, the university known today as Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) was established as Kanpur University in Uttar Pradesh. The purpose of serving more students in the region and helping Agra University deal with its large student load led to the establishment of CSJMU which is now a respected and large higher education institution in North India. guided by the motto, “Aroh Tamso Jyoti” (Rise from darkness to light), the university strives for knowledge, empowerment and success in academics.
In about six decades, CSJMU has built a campus on 264 acres and connected with nearly 952 colleges in eleven districts. Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in arts, science, commerce, law, engineering, management, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture and similar fields are available at the university. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized it and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited it, with it also ranking well in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the Pharmacy category.
The dedication to create positive change in education can be seen in the university’s use of the New Education Policy 2020 and connection to projects like the Sustainable Development Goals and ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’. CSJMU offers various online programs including Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), and post graduate programs like Master of Commerce (M.Com), Masters of Computer Application (MCA) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
The fees may vary depending on the program ranging from INR 13,000 to INR 33,000 per year. Along these there are other fees like INR 2,000 exam fees, INR 1,000 project fees and INR 1,000 degree fees.
A recognized 10+2 qualification (no matter the subject) is needed for most courses in undergraduate studies. BCA applicants must qualify in 10+2 with Mathematics.
The university organizes exams at the end of each semester as shown in the academic calendar. Students take assignments, in-house tests and end of semester exams carried out either online or offline through designated centers.
