Golden Gate University (GGU) offers an online Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program at the doctorate level. This entirely online learning project is designed to help individuals, particularly from the working class, achieve the prestigious "Dr." title. GGU's online DBA program is equal to a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program.

This doctoral-level program lasts 3 years and is only recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) when undertaken at a foreign university, such as Golden Gate University because Indian universities do not offer such programs. While the program provides on-campus immersion possibilities, choosing this option may result in somewhat higher fees than non-immersion programs.

GGU's online DBA program offers a variety of specializations, including Finance, Leadership, Business, Analytics, Marketing, and General, to provide graduates with a diverse range of professional opportunities.

The program takes a three-tier approach. Students interact with current business ideas, practices, and challenges, learn research tools, and investigate the connections between business and social and global concerns. Mastery of these topics is required for PhD students to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and business operations. During the dissertation phase, students do original research on a topic of contemporary relevance and personal interest. They can also undertake patent filings or book writing, endeavors targeted at shining light on and addressing strategic difficulties inside their respective professions.
