The Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship is a 2-year management program that specializes in Entrepreneurship. IIM Sirmaur’s dedicated faculty have come up with this program for students as budding entrepreneurs who are currently working professionals with the intention & ambition to make a leap towards high-level management positions such as the C-suite ones responsible for steering an organization on a massive scale or become an entrepreneur that builds up an organization from scratch and grows it through its product/service leading to becoming a fully fledged organization someday (it could either be bootstrap or nurtured through external investments).

 In the current ecosystem of the economy, there is a steady rise of startups and some of them have become unicorns. There are a plethora of investors, incubators, and government initiatives in the current economy that are fostering the growth of startups to expand into blooming organizations of high capacity with steady and continuous growth.

 The students pursuing this program are taught to acquire the mindset of an entrepreneur and familiarize themselves with developing qualities that define an entrepreneurial personality such as endurance, patience, a strategist mindset, financial literacy,  efficient input-output dynamics of the product/service, etc. 

The modules related to the specialization of entrepreneurship prepare the student with the necessary procedures and managing tactics that are required to kickstart an organization/startup and the process of the growing stages. The student learns about stakeholders such as investors, employees, market audience, etc. who are essential for the functioning of the enterprise which gives the idea of how to deal with them with unique authenticity.

More importantly, the student is trained to become a management professional which is essential for understanding the various functional areas that are involved in the organizational setup. A true leader is one who has a basic foundation in the functional areas of business management that are essential to deal with the prospective employees to relate with the challenges to be faced. It is easy to keep oversee when one understands the employees who have different trades from person to person.

The program is held in hybrid mode. In the online aspect, virtual classrooms are used by a technology platform that integrates digital learning tools with video conference technology, enabling the student and the faculty to connect remotely. There is a campus immersion that happens twice, during which the students get to interact with faculty in real classrooms, use library resources for better quality studies, and avail themselves of other campus facilities such as parks.
