IIM, Indian Institute of Management Udaipur was set up by the Government of India in 2011. It is known to be one of the fastest-growing B-Schools. The University is a second-generation institute that aspires to set a unique legacy of perfection in the management field by combining the main elements of teaching & research. Talking about its establishment and history, In 2009, the government approved the proposal for the creation of IIM Udaipur, in 2010 first board of governors was appointed, and in 2011 IIM started operating from MLSU Campus, 57 PGP Students were enrolled for two years MBA program, and 17 permanent members joined as the faculty. In 2012, IIM came up with the new initiative of developing the first-ever management programs for women entrepreneurs, and in the same year, the first edition of leadership submission happened and International Business in Practice (IBP) was launched. Since then the University has achieved milestones.

In the year 2022 IIM Udaipur announced start-up innovation grants on Climate Change Mitigation, started Entrepreneurship submission, and also launched a 7% increase in overall CTC. In the same year, the institute recorded 100% placement for the MBA Digital Enterprise Management Batch.

There are many courses offered by the Institute like the MBA degree program which is a two-year program that offers transformational experience. It also offers a one-year MBA that specializes in Global Supply Chain Management also known as PGPX, and it also offers a one-year MBA specializing in Digital Enterprise Management, a post-graduate diploma in business administration for working executives, and a doctoral program.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accredited this institute in 2018 and it became an elite member of the top 5% world Schools. It also ranked in 2022 by QS 2022 for Masters in Management(MIM) and as per Financial Times MIM ranking 2021. It is ranked 16th by the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023, in the category of management institutes. Also, it is ranked by UT Dallas tracks with 24 business journals.
