About IIT Ropar
Indian Institute of Technology Ropar also known as IIT Ropar has been known for its transformative learning environment and extensive research approach, the vision of the institute is to be the pioneer among all the technological universities and institutes in this millennium. IIT Ropar was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2008 under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, of 2011, and it is situated in Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab, India.
The initial batches of IIT Ropar were conducted at the marvelous campus of IIT Delhi and later on in 2009, the institute started functioning from its Rupnagar campus. The motto of IIT Ropar is धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् (Deploy our intellect on the right path) that is a part of the sacred Gayatri Mantra in the Hinduism. IIT Ropar remains in active consultation with IIT Calcutta.
IIT Ropar offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive (online) programs in a plethora of specializations. IIT Ropar Admission Process
Candidates interested in getting admission at the IIT Ropar are requested to appear for the common entrance exam like JEE, GATE, CAT, JAM, or other relevant exam for the program opted by the candidate. Candidates have to score a minimum score in these exams to qualify for the eligibility criteria and fall under the cut-off list. IIT Ropar Online also offers a few online and executive programs.
After qualifying for the entrance exam, the candidate applying for a regular or online program has to follow a few basic steps mentioned below:
Step 1 Candidates have to visit the official website of the institute and register themselves with their registered phone number and mail, in order to get access to the admission portal of the institute
Step 2 Completion of the registration process will give candidate their login credentials.
Step 3 After accessing the admission portal candidate have to submit their common entrance exam score and if they have scored under the cut-off and eligibility criteria, only then further application process will be resumed.
Step 4 Submission of the score will automatically redirect the candidate to the application form, where the candidate has to fill out the application form with the required details.
Step 5 While filling out the application form, candidates have to attach the required documents along with it.
Step 6 After completely filling out the application form candidates can proceed with the fee payment process and submit the application form.
Note: All the information and documents provided by the candidate must be accurate and valid, or the application may get rejected by the institution.
