University of London Online

The University of London is located at the Senate House, central Bloomsbury, London. It was established by the Royal Charter in 1836. Widening access to education has been the university's mission since the very beginning. The university is also one of the pioneers in distance education around the world, with humanities research being the university's specialty. Moreover, it was the first UK university that award degrees to women. This proves that the university operates on core ideals of equality, inclusivity, and opportunity. 

There are around 40 thousand students from more than 190 countries that is part of the University of London’s learning community. The impact they have is global. The online ones are conducted through a virtual learning environment (VLE) that students from all over the world can access easily. On-campus courses are conducted at two locations, London and Paris.

Both master’s and doctoral degrees are offered through online learning.Their School of Advanced Study is the only UK institution nationally funded by Research England to promote and facilitate humanities research. The University of London also provides multiple facilities to its students. The Senate House Library is one of them. It is the UK's largest academic library for arts, humanities & social sciences.
