Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya is one of the oldest universities established under Act No. 37 of 1995 of the Madhya Pradesh Government vide gazette no 573. The university has established itself with an aim to disseminate quality education.
The university established its directorate of distance education in the Katni district of MP in order to provide various degree courses, diploma or certificate courses to students who cannot attend regular college.
MMYVV is a recognized university and all its courses have got approval from the University Grants Commission. The university has also gained recognition by NCTE or the National Council of Teachers Education.
