About Osmania University Distance Education
Osmania University known as Professor G Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education was established in 1918. It is considered one of the best Universities in India that is offering quality education to students throughout India. The University is ranked as the 7th Oldest University of India and it is ranked third Oldest University in the Southern Part of India. In the year 2019, the University got the recognition to offer some Open and Distance Education programs to Students.
This was very helpful for the working professionals as it helped working professionals, married women, and many more students, a chance to broaden their knowledge. Today, the University is successfully offering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses to the Students. They have to appear for the term-end or semester examination at the allotted centers. The Center of Distance Education of the University envisaged helping the students get knowledge through the distance mode of Education. All the programs that are offered in the distance mode are affordable. However, students have the chance to apply for scholarships at the University. Osmania University Distance Education Admission Process
You can take admission to Osmania University Distance Courses by following the steps given here. But before you start applying for the course, select the course only from the available list on the website. For taking admission select a course and check all the eligibility criteria to take admission to the University. Then follow the steps mentioned.
Step 1- Click on the New Admissions. Apply for the online admission process by filling in the category of the course - UG, PG, or others.
Step 2- After the selection of the course, start filling up all the details in the application form.
Step 3- Register the details and log in to the portal. If students have already registered, just log in with the details like mobile number and email ID.
Step 4- After the successful registration move to the payment option on the online payment portal.
Step 5- Upload all the essential documents like photos, signatures, and other documents.
Step 6- Proceed with the submission of the application.
Step 7- Take the printout of the application and fee receipt.
Step 8- Wait for the confirmation of admission from the University end.

Osmania University Distance Education Examination Pattern
The examination of the institute consists of the theoretical examination and project or assessments. All the assessments have to be submitted to the University on or before the final date of the submission. However, the evaluation is based on the efforts students put in to accomplish the degree and the assessments.
The evaluation is done on the basis of two important factors:
