About Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam - DDE
Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam was founded in 1983 by the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh (Sri N.T.Rama Rao) and the university caters to women who are unable to pursue their further studies and have to stop their studies due to various reasons. In 2000 the university started its Distance Education Centre (DEC), whose main objective was to help women in fulfilling their educational needs.
Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidalayam Distance Education Centre resulted as a boon to women who were not allowed to attend regular classes, now they can enroll themselves in the various courses offered by the distance education center in the university. But later on, in 2014 DEC has been changed to the Directorate of Distance Education(DDE).

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam - DDE Examination Pattern
The evaluation of an individual student is done through two main components, internal assessment, and end-term examinations. The internal assessment carries 20 percent of weightage in every semester per subject and a student has to submit an assignment in each examination semester. Meanwhile, the students are required to submit the assignment as per the schedule to DDE, SPMVV for evaluation, otherwise, they will lose the marks that are carried by the assignment.
