Jammu University Distance Education

The University of Jammu is a well-known and reputed university among the institutions that offer education through online mode. The University of Jammu Online Education established the Directorate of Distance and Online Education to offer education to every student around the world who are willing to pursue further studies but are not able to enroll themselves in a regular degree. The University of Jammu is accredited with an “A++” grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India, which came into existence in 1969 via the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969.

Recently the Ministry of Human Resource Development conducted a National Institutional Ranking Framework under which the University of Jammu was awarded 51st rank and it is also recognized as a category-1 university, meanwhile, the University of Jammu is approved by University Grants Commission.

The University of Jammu online education has a total of thirty-six departments, twelve departments, one hundred and twenty-six affiliated colleges which makes it an extraordinary and a university with rich heritage and culture in which every student wish to get enrolled in. The University of Jammu offers plenty of courses in multiple specializations which have regularly updated and revised curricula and the fee structure of each course is designed in such a way that it doesn’t act as a burden on the interested student who is willing to enroll in any courses offered at the university. 

The fee of every program is pocket friendly for every working profession and budget friendly for every student but the university on its behalf does not offer any financial assistance including loans or EMIs. Students who are looking for financial assistance can apply for government scholarships specially circulated for minorities or specially-abled people.Students can avail of them by checking their eligibility criteria. 

The examination process at the University of Jammu is similar to other distance and online education institutions. There are two main components of the examination process which are internal assessment and end-term examination.The internal assessment carries 20-30% of the total marks which also considered the assignment and other tasks that are assigned to the students at beginning of the every semester and the rest weightage is carried by the end-term examination.
