Periyar University established Periyar University Centre for Online and Distance Education (PUCODE) as its directorate for distance education. Online Education at Periyar University started functioning in 2001-2002. The Periyar University Online Education is UGC-DEB approved, received NIRF 63rd Ranking, accredited “A++” by NAAC, and AICTE approved university.
The Periyar University Online Education is a well-known university, and it was named after the Great Social Reformer E.V. Ramasamy who was known as “Thanthai Periyar”.
