MAT Exam Analysis - Section Wise

Section -1: Language Comprehension

This section has sets of questions numbering 30, which marks around 30. In this Language Comprehension section, the questions cover Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, Synonyms and Antonyms, Analogies, Idioms and Phrases, fill-in-the-blanks, Vocabulary, Verbal Reasoning, Para Jumbles, Sentence Completion, or more topics. Also, this section lasts 30 minutes, so complete it accordingly.

Section -2: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning 

This section contains 30 questions on Logical Reasoning, Puzzles, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Statement and Conclusion, Coding and Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Analytical Reasoning, Analytical Puzzles, and more. For this, 30 minutes are given to complete this section and ensure you didn’t lose any marks, and each question is worth 1 mark. 

Section -3: Quantitative Aptitude

For this section, 40 minutes are given to complete this section, which includes around 30 questions, totaling 30 marks. The syllabus of this section contains topics related to Arithmetic (Time, Speed and Distance, Profit, and Loss, Percentage, Ratio, and Proportion, etc.), Algebra, Number System, Geometry and Mensuration, Modern Mathematics, Probability and Permutation/Combination, Work and Time, Simple and Compound Interest, or more topics. 

Section -4: Data Analysis and Sufficiency

The Data Analysis and Sufficiency section syllabus contains Tables, Graphs (Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Pie Charts, etc.), Data Interpretation (based on various sets), Data Sufficiency, Caselets, Logical Data Problems, or related topics. In the MAT Exam’s section IV, you will get 30 questions for 30 marks with a time limit of 35 minutes.

Section -5: Indian and Global Environment

The fifth section of the MAT Exam requires an understanding of General Knowledge, Current Affairs (National and International), Business Awareness, Static GK (Indian History, Geography, Economy, etc.), Social Issues, Politics and International Relations, Sports and Entertainment, and more topics with having a practice of completing the 30 questions of 30 marks in 15 minutes.
