Why the MAT Score is relevant.

The MAT score can be used in more than 600 institutes to apply to the PG programs. The score can help the leading institutes to screen the students for admissions. This exam has been designed to measure the skills desired for studying management studies at the graduation level. The next thing that makes MAT relevant is that it measures the students' skills with typical marking schemes, irrespective of the scores of candidates in universities and institutes. What is the MAT Percentile? What is the Difference Between MAT Scores and Percentile?

The MAT Examination percentile is the percentage of the total number of examinees who have appeared in the MAT examination. While the MAT Composite score is just the

Representation of the individual score but MAT percentile is the evaluation of an individual’s performance concerning all the candidates who appeared in the examination. But do you know what the relevance of the MAT Precentile is? Let's see here:-

  • The MAT percentile is the most accepted score by most institutes and colleges to offer admission to PGDM or MBA; however, some institutes accept the CAT Score.
  • Apart from this MAT Examination, many top Business Schools conduct written ability tests, PI, and group discussions for course selection.

MAT 2025 Score vs Percentile Calculation

Here is the formula to calculate the overall percentile in the MAT entrance examination.

MAT Percentile = (MAT Composite Scores by candidate/ Total Examinees in the examination)*100

MAT Result 2025

AIMA will release MAT results for IBT, CBT, and PBT within a few days after the examination. This score will be valid only for one year for admission to management courses at more than 600+ institutes and universities. Students can check the results on the official AIMA website.

MAT Score Limitations

MAT scores are accepted by most of the excellent B-schools across India, but they also have certain limitations in the application and consideration for admission in some scenarios, such as

  • They do not necessarily measure all the skills of the candidate that are essential in postgraduate studies.
  • These scores do not involve any psychometric tests. Hence, it is of no use for psychometric purposes.

MAT Scorecard:- Details Mentioned

The candidates will release a scorecard that will contain various details. The validity of the MAT Marks will be mentioned on the scorecard. It usually lasts for around one year. Here is the analysis of the scorecard along with the mentioned details on it:-
