The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 is a methodology initiated by the Education Ministry of India (formerly Ministry of Human Resources and Development) in the year 2015, to rank the institutions based on major parameters, including TLR (Teaching, Research, & Learning), RPC (Research, professional practice, and collaborative performance), GO (Graduation Outcome), OI (Outreach and Inclusivity) and PR (Perception).
The NIRF ranking has its own significance as it provides learners with the independence to choose their preferred institutions on the basis of interests without giving any priority to a particular university or college. Since the online courses are in trend now and students are now shifting to online learning. Even now, the top colleges ranked by NIRF are providing online courses to help students learn and complete the degree courses from the comforts of their homes.
