DU CUET UG Admission 2025: Eligibility, Rank, Seat Allotment

Delhi University(DU) takes admissions in the UG courses through CUET(Common University Entrance Test) which is conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency). Recently, on July 4, 2025, CUET UG results were announced. CUET UG: DU Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission to DU 2025 through CUET are mentioned below. It is important to fulfill the requirement to confirm admission to Delhi University:

Educational Qualification: Students must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board of education.
CUET UG Exam: Candidates must have taken the CUET UG Exam in the same subjects studied in 10+2.
Subject: If the subject studies in class 12th is not mentioned in CUET UG, candidates must appear in the language-specific subject related to class 12th subject. For example, if a candidate has biochemistry in the 12th, then they must apply for Biology in CUET.
Combined Score: Admission will be dependent on the combination of scores of language or domain-specific subjects.
Gap Year: A Gap Year would be fine, for taking admission to DU through CUET UG.

CUET UG: DU Admission Procedure

Here is a detailed admission procedure mentioned for students seeking admission to DU 2025:

1) CUET Exam

Candidates must appear for the CUET UG 2025 exam. Students have to register first from the official portal cuetug.ntaonline.in .It is important to fill in the details carefully because name, signature and photograph will be auto-generated to CSAS UG while applying.

2) DU CSAS Application Form

For admission to DU through CUET, you must apply at the DU CSAS portal after the announcement of results. Your CUET UG login ID and password will be required for filling DU CSAS form.

To fill out the form, must provide below documents mentioned:

Academic Marksheet (10th and 12th)
CUET scorecard will once be available
Migration/Transfer certificate
Photographs
Signature
Application form printout
Certificate for reservation (If applicable)

3) Preference Selection

After the CUET UG result announcement and registering on DU CSAS, students can fill out their preferred courses and colleges. Candidates can select as many courses as he/she want and

Confirm the order of preferences by clicking on ‘Submit’.

4) Release of CUET DU Merit List

DU will release a merit list for all the courses offered under CUET UG in DU. The first possible preference will be allocated to the students on the basis of the following criteria: Course merit, Reservation, Seat Availability, etc.

After a candidate accepts the allocated seat from the CSAS DU portal dashboard. The university will verify the documents and eligibility of the candidate.

5) Upgradation

Before releasing the merit list, Delhi University will open an upgrade window for candidates who want to change to a higher preference of colleges or preferred courses. A candidate who upgrades has to accept the upgraded seat, if not the seat automatically gets canceled.

DU CUET UG: On-Spot Admission

On-spot Admission in DU through CUET will be based on vacant seats remaining after the CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) round. On-spot round will be locked for only those candidates who had applied for DU CSAS 2025 but were not able to get admitted to any course and college. Candidates who want to apply through an on-spot admission facility must update their CSAS dashboard from the ‘freeze’ tab to ‘spot admission’. The seats allocated to students will be based on several seats available, course merit, preferred colleges, reservation category, and other allocation rules.

CUET UG: DU Admission 2025 Application Fee

To apply to the DU CSAS portal, students must pay an application fee, which varies per category. The payment will be submitted through online mode.

For candidates applying with ECA/sports quota, then additional 100 INR needs to be paid:
