CUET Raw Marks vs Percentile Scores
CUET UG Examination is conducted in various shifts. So a standard marking system is a prerequisite. NTA adopted the normalisation of the raw scores of the candidates to maintain equal opportunity distribution among different shifts of students. Therefore Equi-percentile method is used to convert raw scores into normalised scores. With the help of this method, the raw score is converted into the normalised score and percentile score for each subject.

Raw Score vs. percentile scores
For each shift, percentile scores are calculated with a special procedure.
Step 1- Count the Total number of students who appeared in one shift. Mark it as N.
Step 2- Arrange the appeared candidates in decreasing order of their marks.
Step 3- Now note the raw score of each candidate in that shift and denote it as T. Now, count the number of candidates with raw marks less than or equal to T and denote it as m. Use the formula mentioned here.
Step 4- Formula= Percentile Score (P)=m/N*100
Percentile Score= Number of Candidates who appeared in a shift with a raw score equal to or less than the T score/Total candidates who appeared in session* 100
