The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute is a well-known and reputed institute established in 2005, situated in Belur Math near Kolkata. The university was declared deemed to be a university by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. 

The University offers online education through its platform and campuses spread across the state, these campuses are located at Belur, Coimbatore, Narendrapur (Kolkata), and Ranchi.
