- Duration- B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) is an undergraduate degree course of 4 years duration with 8 equal semesters of 6 months.
- Eligibility- The eligibility to get admission in B.Tech CS is that the student must have passed class 12th board examinations in the Science stream with at least 50% marks. The students must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12th.
- Admission Criteria- The admission procedure for B.Tech CS consists of an entrance examination. Universities give admission based on the merit of the students in the entrance examinations.
- Entrance Examination- There are national level, state level, and university level entrance examinations that are considered for admission in B.Tech CS. The national level entrance exam called JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is valid across all colleges in India.
- Online- B.Tech is a technical course and includes a lot of practical aspects, hence, the government has not approved online B.Tech CS courses. So, there are NO online B.Tech CS courses. However, the government does allow a blended (online+classroom) B.Tech CS course but only for the working professionals. According to this Work Integrated Learning Process (WILP), the theoretical classes will be in the online mode and the practical learning will be through offline classes/labs. The eligibility for this course is same as that of the offline course and the candidate must necessarily be a full-time working professional.
- Offline Fee Structure- The fee structure for B.Tech Computer Science is quite high as it is an advanced and technical course. The average total fee for B.Tech CS is INR 8-10 lakhs.
- Online Fee Structure- The total fee is significantly less for the B.Tech CS for working professionals. The average total fee in this case is 4-5 lakhs.
- Job Roles- B.Tech CS graduates are quite in-demand as there are a lot of job roles in this wide field. B.E In Computer Science Course After 12th
