Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is a well-known and reputed university in Madhya Pradesh situated in Indore and was established in 1964. The university was formerly known as the University of Indore and it is popular from its initial days. The main reason behind its popularity and reputation is that Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is a government university.

The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya also offers education online mode and for it, the university has a separate department namely the Centre of Distance and Online Education (CDOE) which is an integral part of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. The main objective behind offering online education was to boost independent learning among every student to give them an acknowledgment of self-dependency. 

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is among the primary universities that initiated the courses like MCA, M.Sc., and computer science in early 1986 and it has been one of the prominent computer schools since then and still proving its presence with new initiates in the field of computer science from past 25 years.

The university offers various courses under postgraduate programs and every course offered at the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and affiliated with Distance Education Bureau. Meanwhile, the university is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an “A++” grade and approved by AICTE.
