Established in 1956, by our former president of India, the Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Kurukshetra University, started with just one department for Sanskrit, and today it is offering various courses and study programs like MCom, BCom, MA, BA, and many more in online mode. The University is situated in Haryana State. This University is accredited by many government organizations like NAAC A+ grade, National Institutional Ranking Framework, and Internal Quality Assurance Cell. This University campus is located at a place that is famous in Mahabharata Epic, Kurukshetra, around the holy river Brahmi Sarover and it is extended in the area of 400 acres of land.

The University campus is well-equipped with all the facilities from basic to world-class. The campus has an air-conditioned auditorium, that has a capacity of 2500 people and has a 70mm projector, conference hall, senate hall, tennis court, swimming pool, Basketball court, Volleyball courts, and many other courts for various fields. The University encourages students to work in the direction of skill enhancement.

There are many societies & clubs that students can join. With the capacity of 45 teaching departments, 369 affiliated colleges are situated in the Districts of Panipat, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Karnal, Panchkula, and, Kurukshetra. For the past 65 years, the university is excelling in offering quality education, and today it is positioned as 8th among the state universities and has been recognized as Category-1 University.

Most of the study programs that are offered at the University follow CBCS(Choice Based Credit System) along with LOCF (Learning Outcome Curriculum Framework). The University is catering to students with good learning resources like study guides, practice tests, virtual lab environment, and e-books as well. That helps students in getting relevant information useful to understand the syllabus and the curriculum of the examination

The institution provides courses in all three modes be in regular mode, online mode, or in distance mode. However, the courses that are offered to the students in regular mode are costly. Online courses offered by the University to the students are much more affordable as compared to other courses offered in regular mode. Students can also take education loans, scholarships, and other financial aid options, that are offered to students by the center and state government.

The Examination pattern of each subject may vary. Students can understand more about the pattern after carefully reviewing last year's papers. The Examination is done in two steps, The first step includes the evaluation of the practical knowledge of the student. The University gives the assessment to students in the form of practical, tests, assignments, project work, and many more. After completion, students can submit these assessments on the portal in online mode. It is not required to visit the center to submit assignments. The next step of evaluation involves the theory examination that is conducted online.
