About Sikkim Manipal University Online
Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, and now known as (SMU) Sikkim Manipal University was established in the year 1995 after the mutual alliance between the Manipal Pai Foundation & the Government of Sikkim. In India, it is the first University that came up by offering quality higher education including healthcare facilities to the Students.
This institute has two important campuses that are - the Technology Campus and the other one is Medical Campus. This Institute is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) & Distance Education Council (DCE), and it is also approved by the NAAC A+ grade, Government of India (GOI). Sikkim Manipal University Online Admission Process
The University offers many Undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students. If you are interested in pursuing a study program in medicine or in the technological field, you can opt for this University. Here are the steps that you can follow to get admission to the university. But if you are willing to get admission in the medical course you are required to appear for the NEET examination, but check eligibility criteria on the website before applying for the university.
Step 1 - Select the course that you want to apply for on the official website of the University. Also, check the eligibility criteria of the selected course and the entrance exam associated with it.
Step 2- After looking at the University and course details, you can start applying on the login portal of the website, after the notification will be released.
Step 3- Fill in all the details of the candidate and marks & results of the qualifying examinations. Enter the details correctly and check the information filled in twice to avoid any mistakes.
Step 4- The next step will be scanning & uploading the relevant documents on your portal. Make sure to upload clear & visible photographs, to avoid any problems at the time of verification of the documents by the University.
Step 5 - The final step is submitting the fee. Note that the fee for all courses may vary, check the fee on the official portal. After successful verification of the candidate’s application and documents, University will send an admission confirmation mail to your registered mobile number or E-Mail ID.

SMU offers many courses in the field of medicine, technology, arts & humanities. Eligibility criteria for admission to all these courses can vary. The Students are advised to go through the previous year's examinations before appearing for the final examination. The examination is done in two important steps, the project(assessment, group projects & discussion, assignments, practicals, and interactive research management). The other evaluation is done on the basis of the theory exams. Both stages are crucial for the skill upliftment of the students.
