About Bharathiar University Distance Education
The Bharathiar University is a state university situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and was established in 1982. Bharathiar University also offers distance education under its dedicated department called Bharathiar University, School of Distance Education (BU-SDE). Bharathiar University School of Distance Education was named after the legendary Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathiar.
Bharathiar University Distance Education is approved by University Grant Commission and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an ‘A++’ Grade. The School of Distance Education was established in 1991. The Bharathiar University is a well-known university in the southern region of India and has a rich heritage, culture, and recognition.
In 2007, Bharathiar University Distance Education celebrated its silver anniversary and the celebration took place in the presence of M. Karunanidhi (current chief minister of Tamil Nadu), and Dr, APJ Abdul Kalam (the former president of India). During the celebration, Bharathiar University was praised for its slogan “educate to raise” to make it a prominent and distinguished university from other universities.
Distance Education at Bharathiar University offers 100+ varieties of programs including UG and PG courses which vary from humanities, business, science, commerce, management, social sciences, social work, etc. Bharathar University also has placement support for students seeking admission in distance education for better career prospects, simultaneously the faculty of universities is very supportive and helpful to resolve any grievance from students.
