What is a Group Discussion or GD for an MBA?

GD or group discussion in MBA is a 20-25-minute process in which a topic is given to a particular group of students to discuss. Students get 5 minutes to prepare for the GD topics right before the discussion starts.

During the discussion, the panellist observed all the candidates for certain parameters like spoken English, clarity of thoughts and words and confidence. 

The GD round usually begins in February for the top B-Schools and continues till August.
