The basic criteria for getting enrolled in a PhD program is to have a 2-year master's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Universities take your exam to check if you are capable or not. and if you qualify for the exam then are present before the panel to discuss and explain your topic of interest and then your selection depends on whether the panel members find your topic interesting or not.

Yes, after finishing the 2-year executive MBA successfully, the candidate is qualified enough for one of the criteria which is having a postgraduate degree in Business Administration which is going to be the subject of Ph.D in business administration. The student can have different specializations in both degrees. But the bottom line, the student has to have any type of MBA degree that is recognized by UGC and other concerned institutions that validate management education.
