As per the latest notification of the University Grants Commission(UGC), universities and colleges whether regular or online are allowed to take admissions twice a year. Earlier, the universities were allowed to conduct admissions only once. From now on, admissions can be conducted in two sessions. The first session of admissions will be conducted in July and August and the second session of admissions will be conducted in January and February. This provides an extra opportunity for the students who could not take admissions in the August session to easily take admission in the January session without any gap year.
This biannual admission has also allowed the students to pursue a dual degree at the same time. As per the UGC norms, students can pursue one regular and Online degree at the same time. However, they can pursue two online degree at the same time.
