IIM Bangalore

IIM-B, or The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973 and is India’s leading Business School that offers top-notch graduate programs. It is a big institute with around 108+ faculty members and more than 1200 students who are pursuing various full-time and online programs from the institution. It offers postgraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas and certificates, and doctoral degree programs to all students. It has various options in disciplines that students can choose from.

The Institution provides Doctoral Programme (Ph.D.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics) (MBA(BA)), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and diploma programs like Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management and various other certificate programs.

In 2014, the University came up with a new initiative to offer online study programs to students from all across the globe. In online mode, it started offering courses in disciplines like Accounting for decision-making, Accounting and Finance, Bayesian Statistics, Advanced Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance, Brand Management, Cooperatives and Producer Companies, Customer Relationship Management, Financial Accounting and Analysis, and many more. Overall there are 11 disciplines that are offered to the students.

This Institution is ranked second by NIRF 2023 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It has been granted some international recognitions, rankings, and awards like FT MIM Global Rank 2022 as 1st in India and ranked 31st globally. As per the Eduniversal 2022, it has been awarded as number one position in the category of B-School in Central Asia. As per QS EMBA Rankings 2023, it was awarded as the number one institution for the program (PGPEM) and 43rd in the world.

The institution was accredited by EQUIS(EFMD Quality Improvement System), in 2016. That is also accredited by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), which is a specialized body to offer higher education institutes of MBA. At present, this Institution has many Student Exchange Programmes along with many partners all across the globe in countries like North America, Europe,  Australia, South America, and Asia.

It has a strong alumni international network A Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), that consists of 32 eminent bodies of Business Schools around the World.  They have started working on their upcoming campus which will be situated at Jigani, 27 km far place from Bannerghatta Road campus.

There are various financial aids available at IIM-B, they offer many scholarships to the students like the Aditya Birla Scholarship,  Citi Women’s Leader Award, Siddhartha Padam Award, Runwal Education Trust Scholarship,  Yes Bank Scholarship,  Employment in Social Sector Scholarship, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Scholarship (SC), OPJEMS Scholarship, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre India Scholarship and many more. They allow students to study and complete their courses without any hassle or hindrance. They have a dedicated Financial Aid Committee that decides the scholarship awardee and aid/support management. 

The Examination for students enrolled in full-time courses will be done in traditional pen-paper mode. However, the institution has given flexibility to the students pursuing online programs. They are not supposed to visit any University or study center for examination or project submission. Online examination will be done through the examination portal of the University.

Students are advised to read all the guidelines and advisories before appearing for the final examination. Also, the students have to submit the assignments or projects allotted by the University, that will be required for the evaluation process. They provide self-paced learning material that helps students to appear for the examination.
