About IIM Shillong
Indian Institute of Management of Shillong (IIM Shillong) is the 7th management institute that was founded in India. This university was established in 2007 by the Union of Human Resource Management (HRD) and the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (MDONER). IIM Shillong focuses on developing new innovative leaders who adhere to the core ethical values.
The vision of IIM Shillong is to become a globally recognized management studies platform with the heart of Indian values. IIM Shillong EMI Details
Aspiring candidates can get enrolled to the courses offered by IIM Shillong without considering the financial burden through easy installment options. The “No Cost EMI” option is applied as one of the fee payment modes at the university. Students can choose this option for a duration of 6, 9, and 12 months. This plan might vary depending on the choice of course.
IIM Shillong Admission Process
The process of admission to the IIM Shillong is based on the scores of the CAT, MAT, or GMAT exams and personal interviews (PIs). For the batch of 2023-2025 MBA, the CAT cutoff is 75% for general and EWS students and 50% for ST and DA category students.
The university offers direct admission to some of the online programs. The procedure followed for taking direct admission is mentioned here:
Step 1 - Go to the official website of the University and select the course from the program list.
Step 2 - Look for the “Apply Now” tab on the website and click it, this will redirect you to another webpage.
Step 3 - Fill out the personal details in the form provided and register yourself with the course.
Step 4 - After registration, log in to the admission portal using the personalized credentials used at the time of registration.
Step 5 - Fill in the details as asked in different stages of the admission process and upload the required documents.
Step 6 - Move on to the Payment section after reviewing the application form.
Step 7 - Choose a suitable payment option for you and deposit the fee.
Step 8 - Submit the application and keep the confirmation document of admission with you for future reference.

The final evaluation of the candidates is based on their performance in the internal assessments and term-end exams. To get certified in any online course, students need to score the minimum passing marks in each of the assessments. IIM Shillong has international tie-ups with some foreign universities. Students enrolled in the regular mode under different programs are eligible to attend the student exchange program. However, students pursuing online courses are only restricted to campus visits of the University.
All the students enrolled at IIM Shillong for online courses have access to the LMS portal which is accessible at any time from anywhere. If a student missed online classes then he/she can access the recorded lectures from the LMS portal.
The admission process for online courses is not fixed as a general procedure. For some courses, the university takes entrance exams and PIs while for others direct admission is possible. Admission to some executive programs is also based on CAT/MAT/GMAT scores.
