Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana or known as S-VYASA is India’s largest Yoga University, in Bangalore, Karnataka, established in 1986, that is providing long-term and short-term courses in regular and distance modes on yoga. In 2002, the UGC approved S-VYASA as Deemed to be University, under UGC Act 1956. This is a research-oriented University with an advanced research centre for Yoga & Naturopathy by ICMR. 

Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana or S-VYASA is the first in India or globally to offer higher education in Yoga. This Institute provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance education courses, Residential Certificate Courses, Online Certificate Courses and many Ph.D. programs to the students.

With a record of publishing 500+ research papers in National and International Journals, and successfully working on some technical journals like the International Journal of Yoga and IJOY- PPP, the institute has now been able to accommodate more than 2500 students and faculties. The Institute is accommodated with an exhaustive yoga library, a well-equipped Yoga Therapy Research Health Home, Research Centres and many more. 

The Institute campus named Pranshanti Kutiram(Abode of Peace) is located in the lap of nature that is 30 km away from Bangalore centre and spread over an area of 100 acres.
