Scheme of Examination Kalinga University DE
The Institute of Distance Education established by Kalinga University will conduct the examinations of distance courses on semester-wise criteria as mentioned in the guideline of the University Grant Commission.
The Semester End examinations of all the distance courses will be coordinated by Kalinga University as per the University’s Ordinance. For the process of examination, the electronic admit cards will be generated and sent to the eligible students for the examination.
The exam structure contains both theory and practical questions. 70% weightage is given to the term-end examinations and 30% weightage will be given to internal assistance. The students need to clear all the examinations to be passed in their domain. They need to score overall a minimum of 33% marks including term-end examinations and internal assessment.
The aggregate percentage that every student needs to score in all the subjects is a minimum of 36%. The maximum duration for passing and improvement of scores of a program shall be “Duration of the course + three years”. For example, for a three years Bachelor’s Degree course, the maximum duration shall be six years and for two years Master’s course the maximum duration shall be five years.
