CAT is an abbreviated form of "Common Admission Test". This test is conducted for students who wish to pursue an MBA in any specialization. CAT is conducted by the IIM Calcutta and is a national-level test. This exam is conducted once a year.
To be eligible for this exam, students must have completed any Bachelor's degree with aggregate marks of 50% or should have equivalent CGPA/SGPA. However, the minimum aggregate mark for SC/ST/PWD categories is of 45%. additionally, the University from which students have completed their degrees must be a recognized university (UGC recognized or any Government statutory body).

Candidates willing to apply for CAT 2024 are required to fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements. The eligibility requirements are mentioned below-
- Completed graduation from a recognized university/institution with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.
- Candidates from the SC/ST/PwD category can apply with 45% marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
- Candidates in the final year of their bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply.
