Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management was established in 1980 with the main aim and objective of bringing Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of education in the form of an institution that has no barriers. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management was led by a group of prominent intelligent leaders and people, which Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthi leads, he is a former Member of Parliament and a well-known philanthropist.
GITAM is the abbreviation for Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management and its separate Centre for Distance Learning (CDL) for distance education was established on 09-09-2009, a unique day. GITAM distance education is recognized and accredited by UGC-AICTE-DEC.

GITAM University Distance Education Admission Process
To take admission to GITAM Centre for Distance Learning, students are required to follow the following steps:
Step 1: Students have to visit the official website of the university.
Step 2: After visiting the official website, students must check if there are any latest updates or notifications issued by the university regarding the admission process.
Step 3: After that, students have to click on the admission tab and fill out the application form with the required information.
Step 4: While filling up the application form students have to select the course they are enrolling in.
Step 5: Students can apply after filling out the form and attaching the required documents with the application form.

GITAM University Distance Education Examination Pattern
The GITAM distance education follows a pattern of internal assessment and end-term examination, where internal assessment carries 30 marks and end-term examination is 70 marks. Internal assessments are evaluated on the combined evaluation of assignments and practicals.

I studied BA in distance mode but in telagana they are not accepting who studies from gitams in distance mode I tried to take PG admission from Osmania university but they are accepting...I Don't know why,,,, one of university staff said gitam Don't have DEB approvals...they have to take every year to conduct programs but they have gaps in approvals.

The university has an amazing faculty and also offers face-to-face classes to interact with other students too, which I think other universities don’t offer and their programs are revised and updated curricula which helped me a lot throughout my academic journey at GITAM.
