IIM Bodh Gaya Ph.D Programme in Management Financial Support

This program is meant for those who have the passion to make an impact in research in the field of management, carry out deep studies in a chosen domain, and learn teaching methods. Students are trained to develop their analytical & research skills to carry out multi-disciplinary research that is of high quality, practice innovative thinking, and embrace the beauty of academia. With the mentorship of eminent faculty and experts from the industry, the student gets to grow his/her intellect which is used towards applying, disseminating, communicating, and generating research output that will make an impact in designated future research roles in the industry, academics and management. The specializations that are provided are Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Humanities & Liberal Arts(Business Communication), Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, Information Technology Systems & Analytics, Finance & Accounting, Economics and Marketing. The student at the time of admission has to pay INR 30K as an acceptance fee for the offer of admission to the Ph.D program in management and the caution deposit to be paid at the time of registration is INR 30K. The following is the financial support given by IIM Bodh Gaya for the students of the Ph.D program-

• Academic Expenses and Hostel Fees are covered by the institute.
• Stipend (Scholarship):
  • Before the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination (CQE), the student will get a stipend of INR 32,800 per month.
  • After the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination, the student will receive a stipend of INR 35,400 per month.
  • After the approval of the Thesis Proposal, the student will receive a stipend of INR 39,300 per month.
• For the first four years, the student will receive a contingency grant of INR 25K per year. This grant covers travel related to thesis work, professional annual membership fees (student rates) of one national & one international society, journal subscriptions, stationary, and purchase of books. From this grant, every year insurance premium gets deducted. 
• The student will be provided a one-time grant of INR 50K to purchase a laptop.
• After the completion of the CQE, the student can avail a grant of up to INR 1.75 Lakhs to attend conferences.
• It is mandatory to do unpaid Teaching Assistantship for two courses per year.
