Being the 4th IIM in the country, standing tall among the prestigious 1st generation of IIMs, IIM Lucknow’s mission is to make a difference in the management systems within institutions such as public services, businesses and industries. Established in the year 1984, IIM Lucknow provides knowledge meant for thought leadership that is relevant globally and socially conscious. There are academic activities undertaken by the institute meant to nurture young leaders based on their values. The courses here are meant to extract the student’s entrepreneurial acumen and the subsequent actions meant to solve the issues of the social sphere through business models that are sustainable and innovative.

IIM Lucknow conducts several programmes in management education. Starting with the three PGPs(Post Graduate Programme)  that are MBA degrees. Starting with PGP alone is a premier management programme of the institute that basically provides the MBA curriculum. Then there are two other PGP programmes with specialisation in Agribusiness Management and Sustainable Management. Then there is an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation where the student learns how to start and run a business, along with support from the institute to build his/her own company. 

Then there is an International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) where the students are prepared for top management roles along with an international immersion programme that is a major part of the IPMX. Then there is a Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives, which is an MBA programme that is meant for working executives who want to pursue it to upskill themselves while staying at their jobs. Then there is Executive Education which provides knowledge & skill development in specific topics in the various areas of management.

There are two doctoral programmes held at IIM Lucknow, that are FPM (Fellow Programme in Management) in which the student gets to research in a management field and develop their teaching skills. Then there is EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme) meant for working executives who want to expand their career options in research and academics in the management field.

IIM Lucknow Master of Business Administration - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fees

This MBA programme is centred around the practicality of running a business. This 16-month programme focuses on the lines of entrepreneurship and innovation that give the student to learn the different & subsequent stages of running a business venture along with the modules of a regular MBA programme. The student gets to start his/her own venture with assistance provided by the institute at different stages of the venture process. The total fee for this programme is INR 14.3 Lakhs. This programme is a full-time residential programme of 2 years duration meant to develop students into professional managers who will be equipped with the knowledge of concepts, fundamentals & theories and skills needed to handle the dynamically changing business environments where student strives to make big decisions and manage businesses. The students who complete this programme successfully are awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA).

(1) IIM Lucknow Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management (PGP - ABM) Fees

This is a management programme that specialises in Agribusiness Management. It is a two-year programme that is full-time residential and will fetch the student an MBA degree in Agribusiness Management, once completed. This course’s design is meant to develop a visionary approach towards the promotion & growth of agriculture as an industry among the students. The student is expected to acquire the right competency to understand the dynamics of an agricultural business environment. The student gets to experience the perspectives of the roles they are going to undertake such as entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and leaders relevant to agribusinesses & agro-based enterprises. This programme’s orientation has an international approach.

The fees and fee structure of this programme are the same as that of the PGP.

(2) IIM Lucknow Post Graduate Programme in Sustainable Management (PGP-SM) Fees

This 2-year programme adopts sustainability as an avenue of management based on the notion that businesses are a vital part of society that cannot be pulled apart. Hence, there is a need for developing management professionals who can integrate perspectives on social, environmental, and economic issues to make decisions that will be conscious of these concerns. Along with that, management of the business according to these concerns gives the aspiring student to get ahead of the current trends and be ready for future challenges. In this programme, along with the general management courses of a standard MBA programme, there are additional specialised courses that are lifecycle management, social entrepreneurship, systems thinking, externalities, public policy, and stakeholder management.

The fees and fee structure for this programme are the same as that of the PGP.

(3) IIM Lucknow Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives (PGPWE) Fees

This is a two-year post-graduate programme, held on the Noida campus, that is designed especially for professionals, working executives, and entrepreneurs. These types of students want to upskill themselves to higher positions and take up managerial roles by learning the knowledge & skills of management from this programme. One of the biggest takeaways of this programme is that the student can continue working at his/her current organisation parallelly attending the programme at the same time. The curriculum develops the student’s leadership by focusing on forging the student’s management knowledge and skills that are required to lead businesses towards progress and become change agents that make a huge difference in the decision-making process. Once the student completes the course, he/she is awarded the MBA degree.

IIM Lucknow International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) Fees

In this course, the student gets to be a part of a one-year residential programme where he/she gets to be a part of the regular MBA modules along with the international immersion where the students visit a partner university in a foreign country. This immersion lets the student get global exposure through interacting with industry experts, professors and students from those universities. This programme is designed in such a way that it is meant to prepare mid/senior professionals to take up roles in the management roles of higher positions in the corporate hierarchy.

IIM Lucknow Fellow Program in Management (FPM) Financial Support

This program is a Ph.D program that is meant to be an opportunity for students where they can develop their potential in research and teaching in the field of management. This is a doctoral-level programme that is designed to create researchers who can explore the realms of management in depth, management thinkers who can influence or challenge the theories & concepts of management thought, and academicians who can innovate the knowledge repositories & develop it. 

Adding to that, doctoral students get the chance to approach interdisciplinary education. With the support of an environment that is academically stimulating, the student gets to hone his/her intellectual ability. The student acquires practical and theoretical knowledge of one of the 9 research areas provided by the institute which are Strategic Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Decision Sciences, Agribusiness Management, Operations Management, IT & Systems, Finance & Accounting, and Business Environment (Economics). The allowances, grants and support given by the institute are given below-

• Fellowship Grant 
  • Given to residential Indian students
  • Given up to 4.5 years of the programme.
  • Gives INR 35K per month in 1st and 2nd year of the programme.
  • Gives INR 40K per month in 3rd year of the programme.
  • For the increase of fellowship stipend to INR 40K, the student has to clear the comprehensive examination held at the end of 2nd year.
• Contingency Grant
  • Given to residential Indian students.
  • Given up to 4.5 years of the programme.
  • In 1st & 2nd year, INR 10K is granted.
  • In 3rd & 4th year, INR 15K is granted.
  • Grant’s purpose is to buy stationery, books, computer hardware/software, etc.

  • When the student enrols in one international professional society during the 3rd and 4th year of the programme, the annual membership fee to be in the society is reimbursed by the institute.
  • For case writing and field-based research, the institute reimburses lodging/travel/local conveyance/boarding expenses up to a maximum of INR 50K, during the third and fourth year.
  • Additional facilities are provided for married students residing on the campus such as:-
    •  Family Health Insurance Premium (Reimbursed)
    •  INR 1 Lakh covered under combined health insurance for the student, his/her spouse and their two children.
    • INR 1 Lakh worth of payable premium is reimbursed.
• Accommodation Facilities:

IIM Lucknow Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) Fees

This 5-year programme is meant to empower executives (senior & middle level) and teaching professionals who aspire to learn and carry out research in the field of management. This programme is meant to develop the student’s research skills in the world of business and management. This is a part-time and non-residential programme that prepares the students for a career in consulting, research, and teaching. Executives can find another avenue of research opening up for them after completing the programme. This course has the provision of the student joining the programme during the second year, being exempted from the first year for which there are few conditions depending on the PG degree one has in management, a credible university and a minimum CGPA, as prescribed by IIM Lucknow.

The total fees to be paid by the students who attended the first year of the programme is INR 7.5 Lakhs. The student who has been exempted from first-year has to pay the fees amounting to INR 5 Lakhs. IIM Lucknow Scholarships

• Need-based scholarships by the Institute 
  • For the ones who can’t afford to pay the fees of programs like PGP and PGP-Agribusiness Management.
  • Given based on family income, specifically the total annual gross family income that includes spouse, parents and self. This should align with the eligibility criteria.
  • No discrimination in providing financial aid on the basis of religion, gender, caste, creed, etc.
  • The eligibility criteria and disbursal criteria will be announced after the admissions.
  • The scholarship period is 1 year.
  • Auto-renewal is not applicable to the scholarship.
  • The student’s scholarship is disbursed term-wise and the disbursal also depends on the completion of the academic requirements of the term.
  • The student is allowed to avail of one scholarship only.
• There are various initiatives taken up by the central government, state government, and bodies for higher education to provide scholarships for students in need.  These scholarships can be found on the portal for national scholarships such as http://www.scholarships.gov.in/  and at state websites too.
