There are several programmes provided by IIM Amritsar. Starting with management programmes such as Master of Business Administration, Executive MBA and two other MBA programmes with a specialisation in Business Analytics and Human Resources, that produce managerial leaders. Then there is a programme of a Master of Science in Data Science and Management, which is a collaboration of IIM Amritsar with IIT Ropar that trains the student in developing both technical and managerial competencies as a data scientist & a managerial leader take on roles that drive change in the techno-management sphere. Then there are two doctoral programmes, are Ph.D programme and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Both these programmes are research-oriented and involve advanced studies of the management domains. Then for upskilling and staying up-to-date with business developments, there are programmes under Executive education.

IIM Amritsar Master of Business Administration (MBA) Fees

This is a full-time management programme in general management that is meant to build these students into management leaders who have a knack for approaching business situations with a global perspective and the acumen of an entrepreneurial personality. This programme develops competencies derived from experiences of analytical thinking, the act of communication, dynamic managerial skills and embracing the art of leadership. Students get put into real-time thinking and decision-making scenarios in simulations that are close to dynamically complex & uncertain environments. The modules taught consist of contemporary and trending business issues that involve domains such as the rise of information & communications technology, human rights, sustainable business enterprises, etc. This programme also provides specialisations in Business Analytics and Human Resources. IIM Amritsar Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Fees

This 2-year non-residential programme is a management programme that is held in hybrid mode, designed for executives looking to move up the hierarchy to take up senior management roles. These budding managers are meant to learn and apply their learnings that involve taking charge to lead organisations to keep ahead of their competitors, navigating coordination & diversity in team-building, and framing strategies & solutions for complex business scenarios & situations. While adopting a multi-disciplinary approach to the programme, the students get to grow their prowess with the mentorship & guidance of the highly experienced faculty and partnering industry experts. The total fee for this programme is INR 12 Lakhs. It has to be paid in six installments before the beginning of each term. This covers membership facilities to various clubs and committees,  library fees, course materials, books, and tuition fees. 

IIM Amritsar Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Data Science and Management Fees

This is a highly coveted two-year programme that is a collaboration between IIM Amritsar and IIT Ropar, which focuses on Data Science, Analytics and Management applications. The students get to learn the technicalities of Data Science & Analytics and the essence of management. Both going hand in hand, this programme trains the students to handle dynamic business environments of the digital age that involve critical decision-making and analysing data together to solve problems managerial and business challenges. The students get exposed to deal with a variety of cross-functional areas that would enhance the competency of the student as a budding data scientist.  The total fee for this programme is INR 14.78 Lakhs. IIM Amritsar Ph.D Programme Financial Support

This Ph.D programme is meant for those students who want to learn their desired management domains in-depth, research to understand concepts or perspectives or new discoveries, create knowledge as a contribution to the management space through publications and learn teaching skills for management education avenues. Students who undergo this programme are moulded into researchers of high quality due to the latest and advanced curriculum, alongside experiencing learning through a scientific approach. The specialisations provided in this programme are Quantitative Methods & Operations Management, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Accounting & Control, Economics & Public Policy, IT & Computational Systems, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management, and Strategic Management.

The financial aspects of this Ph.D programme such as grants, stipends, etc. are given below-

• In the first two years of the programme, the student will be given a doctoral fellowship of INR 40K per month.
• After the clearance of the comprehensive examination, the student will receive an increase in their fellowship to INR 45K in the third and fourth year till the thesis submission. The fellowship extension in the fifth year will depend on the student’s progress and is subject to approval by the doctoral committee and the director of IIM Amritsar.
•  The student gets to avail of a one-time grant of INR 50K to purchase a computer. This is only available after the clearance of the comprehensive examination and the completion of coursework.
• For the first four years, a contingency grant of INR 25K per year (on a reimbursement basis along with the supporting receipts) is provided to the students. This grant covers expenses related to relevant research activities, books, workshops, and attending conferences.
• For attending international conferences/workshops/summer schools,  (on a reimbursement basis along with the supporting receipts), the student’s expenses up to INR 1.75 Lakhs will be given by the institute.
• The students are also provided with medical insurance. This insurance is based on IIM Amritsar’s student welfare policy.

IIM Amritsar Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme in Management Financial Support

This is a two-year programme for research scholars who have completed their Ph.D successfully, to pursue an active form of research in the field of business management. The scholar will be researching in the specialisation of his/her choice or it could also be something that is inter-disciplinary. When it comes to research, the scholar will be pursuing their research work in collaboration with the current faculty of IIM Amritsar. With the expectation of being a fellow in a prestigious institutions of IIM, the scholar is supposed to do research of high quality meant to be published in internationally reputed journals that could make an impact on the existing knowledge body of business management. Alongside that, teaching activities must be done as assistance to the faculty of the institute.

The financial assistance provided to the fellow of this programme are given below-

• The fellowship provided to the participants of this programme is INR 55K per month.
• The contingency grant of INR 30K is provided to the participant of this programme (on a reimbursement basis, upon production of receipts), which covers relevant research activities, books, workshops, and conferences.
• The institute provides personal medical insurance that is implemented as per the student welfare policy.
• The participant will also take up teaching activities for which he/she will be paid an honorarium.
• For attending one international conference, (on a reimbursement basis, upon production of receipts), the participant will be given an amount of INR 1.75 Lakhs for the expenses incurred. The conditions for receiving this is that the participant must complete the first year under this programme and along with that the participant must submit a research paper for getting published in a reputed journal, which is done in collaboration with a faculty of IIM Amritsar.

IIM Amritsar Scholarships

A limited number of students are given scholarships enrolled in the MBA programme. The eligibility is decided on the basis of diversity and scholastic achievement. The scholarship will be awarded in equal value, each year. The student has to maintain a decent academic performance with a CGPA of more than 2.96 in the first year to be provided with the continuation of the scholarship during the second year.
