About Kurukshetra University Distance Education
This University was founded by the first president of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad in the year 1956. It is located at the famous destination in India, where the plot of the famous Epic was set, in the city of Kurukshetra. The University is lying on the banks of the river. Currently, the University is offering courses in both the mode, in online and distance modes of education. Throughout the years the university has grown in terms of providing quality education, and world-class facilities to the students.
This University is offering more than 175 courses to students in regular, online, and distance modes of education. It is recognized by NIRF & IQAC. The University has been accredited with an NAAC A+ grade. Also, it is positioned at 8th rank by the MHRD(Ministry of Human Resource Development) as a Category 1 University.
The university campus is situated near the river banks and it has all the facilities for students like lecture theatres, WiFi enabled, smart classrooms, 24-hour library facility, high-tech laboratories, Post offices, banks and ATMs, Canteens, Cafeterias, market, pool, groceries and many more. The University is attempting to offer higher education to all students throughout India through its 282 affiliated colleges and many higher education institutes in the cities of Haryana.
This University consists of 45 teaching departments and the department of DDE(Directorate of Distance Education) is offering 40 study programs in bachelors, masters, and diplomas. Some of the top courses offered to the students are in the field of science, humanities & arts, commerce, language, finance accounts, and many more.
