Kuvempu University is a state university in Karnataka established in 1987, Kuvempu university offers distance education to students who are unable to pursue their further studies through regular mode and kuvempu university distance education is offered by the Directorate of Distance Education, Kuvempu University. It is a well-known and distinctive university that is famous for its top-notch academic life, which offers students an opportunity to enhance their lifestyle and skills for a better future and life ahead.

Directorate of Distance Education, Kuvempu University offers 26 courses that include U.G., P.G., and Diploma levels, with departments of studies in the faculties of Arts, Science and Technology, Commerce, Education, and Law.  Kuvempu University Distance Education has 3 constituent colleges. One has dedicated itself to direct administration and two Post-Gradaute Centres at Kadur in Chikkamagaluru District and IDSG College Campus in Chikmagaluru.

Courses offered by Kuvempu University Distance Education

 

The Directorate of Distance Education at Kuvempu University does not offer any financial assistance. Still, the fee of every course offered at KUDDE is affordable and pocket friendly for every student and working professional. There are a few scholarships that the university offers but as per their rules and regulations such as:

• Students from SC/ST or OBC can avail of scholarship/ fee reimbursement.
• Physically able students and ex-servicemen receive fee waivers.
• Employees of the university receive fee concession benefits.

The Directorate of Distance Education at Kuvempu University evaluates examinations based on internal assessment and end-term examination. Internal assessment includes Internal Assessment marks and Practical / Viva-Voce marks, which may vary from 20-30%, it depends on the university, and the rest weightage is of end-term examination. 

Students can apply online for their examinations and must print out their examination application form Time table and Hall Ticket, which is mandatory for distance education students, and the students with no hall ticket are not allowed to give exams at the authorized study centers.
