Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology is located in Hisar, Haryana that was established in the year, 1995, by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objective ‘to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with a focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields.
The university has established the Directorate of Distance Education in 1997 to achieve the objective of providing education to all the students. The University Grant Commission and Distance Education Bureau recognized the Director of Distance Education, Guru Jambheshwar University for providing various distance courses to the students.
At present, the Directorate of Distance Education is providing 3 undergraduate and 5 post-graduate programs through distance mode of learning. The learnings of these courses are directly imparted by the DDE.
The DDE also organizes the Personal Contact Programs (PCP) for the students during which the teachers will conduct classes to satisfy the queries of the students. The study material for the distance learners are specially designed by the DDE with the help of expert faculties and changes have been made to the curriculum according to the need of the current market.

Admission Procedure of Guru Jambheshwar Distance University
The procedure for admission to distance learning programs at the Directorate of Distance Education, Guru Jambheshwar University, is very convenient and simple. First of all, the applicants must take a very careful look at the prospectus of the university. Applicants may obtain a brochure directly from the university or may download it from the official DDE website.
Admissions can be obtained directly by visiting staff at the university or the applicants can also apply online. For online applications, the applicants have to take further steps. They must first register themselves on the university’s official website.
