Sri Venkateswara University located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, was established in 1954 and today the University is offering courses in many fields like Arts, Law, Education, Management, Physical Education, Engineering, pharmacy disciplines, and many more.
The University started from one college that had six departments only but today it has become the second-largest university in the State of Andhra Pradesh that has 5 colleges (College of Arts, College of Science, College of Commerce Management & Computer Science, College of Engineering and College of Pharmacy) all these colleges have around 52 departments that offer 88 programs. The Directorate of Distance Education is an essential part of Sri Venkateswara University as it is offering opportunities to people to accomplish their dream of pursuing higher education dream at their own pace.
Sri Venkateswara University is accredited with NAAC A+ Grade and the departments have received grants for research work from UGC, DST, DBT, CSIR, ICSSR, MNES, UNESCO and many more.
