About Vardhman Mahaveer Open University
Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University is a well-known and reputed university in Rajasthan that was formerly known as Kota Open University, but later on, it was renamed by the Government of Rajasthan through a gazette notification. The university was established in 1987 and it was renamed to its current and original name in 2002. The Vardhman Mahaveer Open University was formed after combining two prominent institutions together Institute of Correspondence Studies and the Continuing Education Jaipur and (The College of Correspondence Studies) Udaipur with the main objective of strengthening and achieving tremendous coordination in he distance education sector.

The examination process at Vardhman Mahaveer Open University consists of two major components. These two major components are known to be internal assessments and end-term examinations. The internal assessments carry 20-30% of weightage which is done through the evaluation of the internal assignments and projects that are assigned to every student at the beginning of every semester and the rest marks are carried by the end-term examinations which have evaluated at the end of every semester to judge the theoretical knowledge and understanding of the student.
