You cannot get a direct PhD admission to the Indian Institute of Technology. The admission process is rigorous and you must meet all the eligibility requirements. Apart from the academic requirements, you must clear national-level entrance tests such as UGC NET, CSIR NE, GATE, etc to be eligible for admission. You can also appear for the entrance test conducted by the particular IIT.


Once you have qualified for the entrance test, you have to appear for a personal interview with your research proposal. Based on your performance in the entrance and personal interview, you will be considered for IIT PhD admission. Pursuing a PhD degree is a full-time commitment. 


However, you can get direct admission to an Online DBA Doctorate. This is a doctoral program, offered by the leading foreign universities. There is no entrance test and admission is provided directly. This program is specifically designed for working professionals and offers remarkable flexibility. You can complete this program within 36 months.
