The University was established on 27th July 1994 by the Governor of Gujarat through Gujarat State Legislative Act and today offers more than 80 study programs to around 8,00,000 students in India through Online and Distance modes. The Univesity is located at the heart of the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. This institute has 7 regional centers in the State of Gujarat and has more than 270 study centers.
This institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and postgraduate diplomas, certificates, and doctorate courses in science, commerce, marketing, language, arts, and humanities subject area. There are many regional centers in the state, in the cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhuj, Patan, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Godhra.

If you are looking to take admission to this institute, you can follow these simple steps. Here are some mentioned instructions that need to be followed.
Step 1 - Students need to follow the basic instructions such as availability of the course, study center information, and sign-in details. After looking carefully at the details, students can start filling out the online form.
Step 2- For proceeding with the online admission, students need to click on the new registration bar. And there they are required to fill in the details like- Name of the Applicant, Phone Number, E-mail address, Date of Birth, Aadhar details, Gender, etc.
Step 3- After this step, select two specializations. One of them will be the main subject and the other will be secondary/ Now login again with username and password.
Step 4 - Fill in all the necessary details, then move to the online fee submission. Make sure to download the challan after fee payment after fee submission at any HDFC Bank branch and enter the details Reference number, fees, and transaction date). And also pay fees only through an e-payment gateway(Credit card, debit card, or other net banking option)
Step 5 - After the fee payment. Take the receipt for future reference.

The Examination at the university can be done in online mode or in the dedicated exam mode, depending on the type, of course, opted for distance or online mode. Students need to fill out the online examination after the university releases the examination form at the official portal. Also, the examination is done either in term-end or semester mode.
